Surreal: having an odd dreamlike quality; unreal; fantastic

I am sitting in the hammock on the porch at El Puente in the morning – its about 7:30 am and the sky is a beautiful blue color, no clouds to see, and its about 75 degrees. Theres a light breeze and I hear dogs barking and birds chirping.

Its 5:30 pm at El Puente and I look up to see Garrett and Marcel chasing 3 guinea hens around El Puente, trying to catch them and put them away for the night. (Those guinea hens can run FAST)

Its the middle of the night and I wake up suddenly. I realize that its pouring down rain. So I lay in my bed for about an hour, just listening to the rain hit the tin roof, thinking about my life here in Nicaragua.

My feet are constantly dirty. I take cold showers in the morning. I eat alot of rice and plantains (which is delicious). But I cannot complain. This is a part of my life I will never forget. I get to walk down the street and yell “adios!” to everyone i meet. The people here are amazing. I love it so much. Its unreal- i get to do everything I love- talk to people and teach English and learn spanish and pray with people and spread love all around. I have these surreal moments where I wake up and realize IM IN NICARAGUA. I held a monkeys hand last week. I eat fresh pineapple and mangos on a daily basis. I can hold a lengthy conversation with someone in spanish. Its amazing.
This is my life.
