Get the word out. Teach all these things. And don’t let anyone put you down because you are young. Teach believers with your life; by word, by demeaner, by love, by faith, by integrity. And that special gift of ministry that you were given when the leaders of the church laid hands on you and prayed – keep that dusted off and in use. I Timothy 4:11-14 MESSAGE

Training Camp- the place where I met my family for the next 9 months of my life. This was a place where everyone laid everything they had down and gave it all to God. A place where I learned the power of Jesus name. The power that each one of us has inside of us. A place where I learned how to speak life into my brothers and sisters. Where I learned that you don’t have to be a “crazy fanatic” or pentacostal to prophesy and speak in tongues.

Also the place where I learned to shower in cold water (or not shower at all!). How to survive all night in the middle of the city without food, shelter, or a safe place to be. And where I made many new friends J

I met my beautiful family that is going to Nicaragua with me. There are 8 of us. Check out their blogs from the main Novas website! The girls: Liana, Jessica Smuk, and Valerie; and the guys: Tyler, Trevor, Garrett Turner, and Tom. We spent one night being crazy together and another night screaming out a window. We are pretty much the coolest people ever. (Ok I must admit all the other teams have awesome people in them too but Nicaragua has my heart)

This is Liana – Garretts hanging out in the picture too. Awesome people.
This is trevor and tyler. Trevors face is usually not this cool, but he put on his model face just for this picture!! πŸ™‚

My family is AMAZING!! πŸ™‚ But overall, Training camp taught me some amazing things , I met some amazing people, did things I thought id never do, and I know that Novas 09 will be the best it can be – with all of us working towards the same purpose- to reach out to many people of many cultures: Swazi, Uganda, South Africa, and Nicaragua.
